Cold Plunge Therapy – The Nordic Cycle
The Nordic Cycle, also known as the “Viking Bath” or “contrast bath” is a traditional Scandinavian wellness practice that involves alternating between a Sauna and Cold Plunge.
The Nordic Cycle is a simple yet invigorating way to improve physical and mental health. It is gaining popularity world wide!

The Nordic Cycle – Sauna and Cold Plunge

Procedure:
Enter a sauna or steam room for 10-15 minutes.
Take a cold plunge for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Repeat the cycle 3-5 times.

Improved circulation, Reduced inflammation, Enhanced detoxification, Increased alertness and focus, Stress relief, Improved mood and well-being
Precautions:
Consult a healthcare professional before engaging in the Nordic Cycle if you have any underlying health conditions, such as heart disease, low blood pressure, or pregnancy. Start gradually and listen to your body. Avoid staying in the cold water for too long. Hydrate well before, during, and after the cycle.
Variations:
Add essential oils to the sauna or steam room for aromatherapy.
Follow the cycle with a relaxing massage.
Spend the Day With Friends
Bring your friends and spend the day. Start out in the sauna and jacuzzi and then come in for a facial, massage or one of our ever popular wet room treatments. Relax and soothe those sore muscles under the jets in our four-person outdoor jacuzzi. Then take a turn in our Finnish log cabin sauna. Each day we scent the air with different essential oils. Breathe in deeply and let the heat and essential oils.
